  4 Stars!

Dunk is an interesting book, and I loved reading it. As I kept reading the book, the plot and theme kept me tied to it till the end of the story. The writer beautifully described the innocent feelings of a child, when he is inspired by anything which fascinates him and his soul. The story goes on during summer time when crowds haven’t really gathered on the shore. A boy named Chad gets influenced by a clown named Buzo in the dunk tank. Buzo’s irritating voice and comments like nails on chalk board mesmerized the kid. He thinks that if he was Buzo the clown, he could have expressed his anger on any one he wanted like his dad, his teachers, etc… Chad also feels that being a Buzo is an art and its fun to do. Later in the story his friend gets ill and that’s the point when he gets to know about the soft side of humor. Almost before the end of the story the grown up kid Chad became a Buzo himself and commented on people. This got the crowd persuaded and every one of them wanted to dunk him in the tank. It was just like he hypnotized them and it felt like that their body, mind, and souls were in his hands. Also the saying 3 BALLS For $2 went on and on! I think this book is a perfect enjoyment for everyone, either young or old. I feel someone very curious would like its basic theme, fast pace, and wonderful plot. I recommend that every one should read it al least once!

The picture I have chosen for this task describes that how a new born chick is celebrating his independence that just broke out form the egg shell. In other words the eggshell is Great Britain and the chick has a flag of U.S.A. which shows that it has become an American and is independent. This image also expresses that Great Britain is its motherland and he/she is leaving its homeland to gain independence.

Battle of Saratoga; Turning Point in the War

November 18, 2007

The Battle of Saratoga was a turning point of the American Revolution because this was the third victory for the Patriots after winning two wars in a row. The British tried to strike back to reduce their embracement. After the Patriot victory the British became a little weaker and lost their confidence. But some of the British didn’t lose hope and still encouraged the rest to fight and win the wars. Also a Patriot named James Thacher wrote, “This event will make one of the most brilliant pages of American History.” This Quote shows that this war was a great victory for the Patriots and rose their confidence a lot.

THE TEA DUMPING

October 28, 2007

The dumping of the British tea was the main event in the Boston tea party. I think that this was a good decision because the British were putting a lot of taxes on almost every product from Britain. They dumped a large amount of tea which was an answer to all the taxes of the imported goods. I think that these people would have felt very happy to express their feelings about the British trade. If I was their, at that time, I would have done the same thing, and would have risked my life for this event to decrease their respect in front of the whole world. This event was one of the bravest thing ever to be done by the colonists. People didn’t even think about their lives and contributed in this event. The End
