Battle of Saratoga; Turning Point in the War

November 18, 2007

The Battle of Saratoga was a turning point of the American Revolution because this was the third victory for the Patriots after winning two wars in a row. The British tried to strike back to reduce their embracement. After the Patriot victory the British became a little weaker and lost their confidence. But some of the British didn’t lose hope and still encouraged the rest to fight and win the wars. Also a Patriot named James Thacher wrote, “This event will make one of the most brilliant pages of American History.” This Quote shows that this war was a great victory for the Patriots and rose their confidence a lot.
